Favorite kids portraits of 2020

I have a mini session event every year during the fall. Since 2020 has been a doozie, so I was thrilled to see regular clients from previous years. My favorite thing about them is seeing how much the kids have grown and how their personalities have evolved. It’s super fun and 20 minutes of shooting fly by. It was nice to get out and have a change of scenery from the walls of my house. I shot with a long lens to keep my distance from everyone, and threw on a mask if the kids got a little closer.

These are some of my favorite portraits from this year’s mini sessions.

I love this anticipation of waking him up.
She’s a day dreamer.
Finding comfort in her mom
I love how she pulls her baby brother close to snuggle.
Five kiddos – FIVE!!
Her perfect head of curls is dynamite!
The thing that draws me to this photograph is mom’s nose and lips. He is so loved.
In their own little world displaying their sister bond.
This little dude is such a goofball. He’s for sure going to win “Funniest” in school superlatives if they still do those!
YES, I photograph through tears.
Mister serious man’s big dreamy eyes!
An almost anonymous portrait
It feels like he’s going to make his way into the “Helper” enneagram.
