At Home Mini Sessions, Part 3

I mentioned in my previous posts that I approached my mini sessions a bit differently this year. Because I photograph often at people’s homes, I decided to also do lightening speed mini sessions at homes as well. All of these images you see in this post were taken in people’s front and backyards. You don’t need much space to make beautiful pictures. It’s about the people and personalities that shine through and really make it all come together. I hope that being at people’s homes makes the photos more special.

One of my best friends moved out of state, so I brought my camera with me during my visit to photograph them at their new home. I miss these guys so much!

I know bamboo can be wild and time consuming to maintain, but I love the aesthetic and how naturally strong it is. It adds some great symbolism to family photos.

Taken a little but later in the year, but just in time to get some family cards out, I walked over to another neighbor with my camera. I walk by a lot with the dogs and always thought these guys had a great yard backdrop for a family session.
